At the time of this receipt, Cora Cecilia Bartlett was an assistant teacher in Greek and Mathematics. The daughter of Professor Alexander Bartlett and niece of MC President Peter Mason Bartlett, Cora Bartlett graduated from MC in 1880. Following two years teaching at MC, she became a missionary to Tehran, Iran. She spent the next 30 years teaching at Iran Bethel School (later American Girls' School) and eventually became the principal of the school.
