Biographical / Historical
Created by Samuel Tyndale Wilson and John Alfred Silsby (a sophomore and freshman at Maryville College), The Maryville Student: A Literary Magazine is the first known student newspaper at Maryville College. Printed on a small printing press in their room in Memorial Hall, the newspaper provided news and stories from around campus on a monthly basis during the 1875-1876 academic year.
