Biographical / Historical
James Morrison Brown (1899-1985) attended the Preparatory School at Maryville College (graduated in 1921) and Maryville College (class of 1926). He was a member of the Brown family that sold the Thompson-Brown house to Maryville College in 1934 (now the home of the Cades Cove Preservation Society).
